I’ve been drawing and making things for as long as I can remember. Though the Philadelphia area has been home for over 15 years, I grew up in a small town in Western New York, where the woods were my backyard. I spent much of my childhood collecting, drawing, painting, and paying attention to the little details of the natural world. That early connection to nature has stayed with me, shaping both the way I see the world and the work I create.

Before becoming a full-time graphic designer and illustrator, I worked in nonprofit development and grant writing. While I loved the people and organizations I worked with, I kept finding my way back to art and design.

In 2013, I began taking on freelance design and illustration projects alongside my day job. Over time, that side business grew into a career, and in 2020 I took the leap into full-time freelance work and founded Mayapple Graphics.

I’m grateful that something I’ve loved since childhood has become the work I get to do every day. I’m forever thankful to the friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors who supported me along the way and encouraged me to pursue this path.

Have a project or an idea you’d like to explore? I’d love to hear from you.
